About the role:
We are seeking a skilled full-time loader operator to join our team at the Murupara log yard. This position features a rotating schedule of four days on and four days off, with rotations alternating between days and nights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating loaders in a fast-paced production environment

  • Placing logs into rows and loading logs onto trains

  • Handling logs with precision and care

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products

  • Collaborating with a small, dynamic team

Candidate Requirements:

  • Class 2 license with a W endorsement preferred

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts

  • Strong commitment to safety

We are currently seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our team. Picking up from recent project work, you will play a key role in providing timely and accurate information, and insights that will drive our business forward. You will be naturally collaborative and able to work across teams to drive continuous performance improvements that benefit the whole operation. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

Data & Systems Management: 

  • Managing data input to maintain data system integrity 

  • Ensuring data system accuracy and functionality for various processes such as pricing, ordering, dispatch, and invoicing 

  • Conducting regular system audits and addressing discrepancies 

  • Collaborating with system providers to meet ongoing needs 

  • Being the system ‘super-user’ and training others to ensure that systems’ knowledge is shared across the team. 

 Inventory Management & Scheduling 

  • Leading stocktaking processes and implementing efficient inventory control procedures 

  • Forecasting feedstock requirements and devising replenishment strategies 

  • Collaborate to develop a production schedule that aligns with inventory levels and sales forecasts, ensuring production meets demand while minimising excess inventory or stockouts. 

  • Analysing inventory performance, providing insights, and optimizing inventory 

  • Improving inventory management systems and training team members 

Reporting and Analysis: 

  • Generating regular reports on inventory performance and analysing data for insights. 

  • Supporting the sales team with data-driven insights to determine optimum product mix and drive growth. 

  • Providing actionable recommendations to optimise inventory and reduce costs 

  • Providing customised KPI reports and dashboards at weekly meetings  

Process Improvement:

  • Continuing to improve inventory management systems. 

  • Identifying gaps and training team members across site in data and inventory management requirements. 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain management, statistics, or a related field.  

  • 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, data analysis, scheduling, and reporting in a timber-related setting 

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and data analytics tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, Timbersmart, Power BI reporting).  

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to draw actionable insights from complex data sets. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.  

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision. 

  • A willingness to work onsite in a manufacturing environment and engage with the team and operations closely. 

  • A good sense of humour.

Are you an experienced Loader Operator ready for your next challenge? We are looking for a motivated Loader Operator to join our Reporoa site. This crucial role involves the safe and efficient operation of loaders, our mobile screening plant and excuvators. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity while ensuring our site is well-organised and orderly.

This role will work alongside our current Team Leader, who is dedicated to supporting our development site in Reporoa, as well as providing assistance to our locations in Nelson and Invercargill. Our Head Office is located in Invercargill, but we maintain a live connection with our wider team, who are always available to provide support and guidance. This is a full-time, permanent position offering security and stability. We are looking for someone who is driven to succeed, motivated by measurable results, a self-starter, and a team player who enjoys early mornings.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment including loaders, excavators, and mobile screening plants.

  • Efficiently load and unload trucks.

  • Preform minor maintenance on all site equipment, and engage with contractors as required.

  • Utilise downtime productively by maintaining site cleanliness and completing additional operational tasks.
